Climini compares the weather now with the same hour yesterday, for where you are or for a place you choose.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use Climini on iPhone, Apple Watch, or Apple Vision Pro, including widgets.

1. Information Climini Uses

Climini may process:

  • Your device location, when you allow location access, so Climini can show the weather where you are
  • Places you save, including a place name and coordinates
  • Weather information for those places, such as temperature, condition, wind, and the time of day
  • Settings you choose, such as temperature unit, language, theme, and whether a widget follows your device location

Climini does not require a Climini account.

Climini does not ask for your name, email address, photos, or contacts.

2. Location

Climini requests location only to show weather for where the device is. You can turn this off and keep a place you have already chosen.

If you turn on Keep Location Updated, the widget may request a coarse location when it refreshes, even if Climini is not open, so the place can follow a move of more than a few kilometers. Climini does not continuously track your location, and it does not use location for advertising or sell it.

Saved places and the related weather snapshot stay on your device so the app, widgets, and a paired Apple Watch can show them. Climini does not sync this library through a Broong account or iCloud.

3. Weather

Climini requests weather from Apple WeatherKit. To do that, the app sends the place coordinates to Apple.

Apple’s handling of that request is covered by Apple’s privacy policy. Climini uses the result to show the comparison and does not send that weather feed to an advertising network.

4. AI Commentary

Climini can write a short commentary about the comparison. Some of that text is produced on your device with Apple’s on-device model. That on-device step does not send the commentary request to Broong or to Google.

When Climini uses Google Gemini, it sends a text prompt directly from the app to Google. The prompt can include the place name, temperatures and other weather facts already on screen, the language you selected, and time-zone context so the wording matches the place. Climini does not send photos, your name, an advertising identifier, or your saved-place library as a file.

Broong does not operate a server that stores these prompts or the commentary. Google processes the prompt to generate the requested commentary. Google’s processing of API data is subject to its applicable terms and privacy practices.

5. Widgets and Apple Watch

Widgets and the Apple Watch app show the same kind of comparison. They read weather and settings stored on your devices. A watch you pair may also request WeatherKit itself when you pick a city on the watch.

Choosing a city or theme on the watch does not change the city or theme on your iPhone.

6. Analytics and Advertising

Climini does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not collect behavioral analytics for advertising or user profiling.

Climini does not engage in cross-app tracking for advertising purposes.

The free app may show a small in-app notice for Broong’s other app, Beyo. That notice is not based on a profile of your activity, and you can turn it off in Climini’s settings.

7. Purchases

If Climini offers paid features, those purchases are processed by Apple.

Climini does not receive or store your full payment card information. Apple may provide Climini with limited purchase status information needed to unlock paid features and restore purchases.

8. Data Sharing

Climini does not sell your personal information.

Information is disclosed only as needed to:

  • Request weather from Apple WeatherKit
  • Request AI commentary from Google Gemini, when that feature runs
  • Process purchases through Apple, when applicable
  • Comply with applicable law or protect the security of the service

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Places, settings, and the latest weather snapshot remain on your device until you delete a place, change the setting, or delete the app.

Deleting the app removes Climini’s on-device data, subject to your device backups.

Information processed by Apple or Google is governed by their respective retention and security policies.

10. Children

Climini is not specifically directed to children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Climini’s features or data practices change.

The version and last updated date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are made.
